Parkinson's is one neurodegenerative disease, with slow but progressive evolution, which mainly involves some functions such as the control of movementsand of equilibrium.
The disease is part of a group of pathologies defined as "Movement Disorders" and among these it is the most frequent.
The causes are not yet known.
It seems that there are multiple elements that contribute to its development (genetics, exposure to toxins such as pesticides or hydrocarbon-solvents, and heavy metals).
The symptoms the main ones are tremor at rest, rigidity, bradykinesia (slowness of automatic movements) and, in a more advanced phase, postural instability (loss of balance); these symptoms occur asymmetrically (one side of the body is more affected than the other).
StOften the symptoms are not recognized immediately, because they manifest themselves in a subtle, inconsistent way and the progression of the disease is typically slow.
Sometimes it is family members or acquaintances who are the first to notice that "something is wrong" and encourage the patient to seek medical attention.

FOR WHAT PURPOSE? TO LET US KNOW!
Among the public that will see us pass, with ours T-Shirts "YOU WON'T STOP US", there will be friends and relatives of people with the Parkinson's disease, who on their way home will tell those who don't know yet that they have seen us exercise and sports and that this there it helps improve our well-beingpsychophysical.
While we will do something good for us, by movingsharing us, we will fulfill our Mission, motivate even just another Parkinsonian to get off the couch and become a PARKINSONAUTA.
